Wow, sharp. Very nice looking. A space saver. Wanted a stainless no rust set to replace a set that was good but rusts and holder took up too much room. This fit the bill. Question, is the base on a magnet?

The holder is great! The larger knives are fine. The"steak" knives could be from the 1.25 store. Poor quality plastic handles and flimsy blades. I will need to buy others.

I’ve been using this set for regular meal prep, and it’s made things so much easier in the kitchen. This knife block set is sleek and much more space saving than I expected. It fits well on the edge of a counter, but I’ve decided I like it best sitting flush against the wall or backsplash. In this position it opens up much more counter space. The knives are staggered, so even against the wall I can see all of the knives, making it easier to choose the one I need.I chose the wood-look block. This is how a knife block should be --not taking up a bunch of space, but there when you need it. I was surprised by the weight of it. It seems innocuous and I wasn't a big fan of the black manufactured-material look, but when I tried to move it, I realized I might have underestimated it. (My mom unboxed it for me, so it came as a surprise at the time.) On the counter, the black together with the slim profile makes it even less of an eyesore, a stark difference from our previous wooden block: a giant.
