The knives are great quality and cut very well. I recommend hand washing and hand drying becuase of the Damascus Steel. The sharpener i have only had to use a few times since ownership.

I wanted to purchase a decent knife set but didn't want to spend 300+ as I am no chef. After looking around (both on Amazon and off) I decided to purchase this set. While I can not obviously speak to the longevity of these knives, I can say that so far they are great. I have chopped all kinds of vegetables without any difficulty as the knives are very sharp. This is a pretty good knife set. They are nice looking, clean easily. They dulled maybe a little faster than I expected, but there is a sharpener on the block that you can use to make them sharp again.

Great set of knives a few months later. They cut, they stay sharp, and they still have the patterns on the blades. So far I havent had to resharpen them at all. If you are looking for a good knife set, look no further

These are not really Damascus knives which is mostly why I bought them, so that is disappointing. The pattern is just etched on. However, they look nice and came sharp. I use them on a daily basis and they have held up well. My only complaint is if they get left wet at all or accidentally left in the dishwasher by a do-gooder husband, they seem to get surface rust extremely fast.
