I am so happy I found this product!! I was going to buy the Zojirishi rice cooker that also cooks quinoa and steel cut oats but this one does so much more. Since I received it I have cooked quinoa, steel cut oats, black beans, farro, wild rice, brown rice, chick peas and lentils all to perfection. I did learn after cooking my first batch of beans to cook it to the soft texture even for salads as they were a little too firm at medium. Love this gadget. Originally I didn’t think I’d use it that much because I don’t eat that much rice or grains however this is so easy and spot on perfect that I’m eating more healthy rice and grains. Yay for KitchenAid.

I love using this rice cooker. It was easy for me to figure out. The only downside for me is that it’s a little small, so I wish it was a little bigger since we eat a lot of rice. Other than that it’s great. It helps making consistent rice since it weighs it. It cleans easy and works great.

Great product. So easy to use and makes perfect sushi rice and steel cut oats. If it lasts even 5years this will be one of the best things I bought in the last 10years.

Sadly, I will be returning this item. I purchased it to mainly cook beans, though I did use it for rice, which came out perfect. I tried 3 times with beans and they never came out satisfactorily. In one case, I used the not soaked cycle and the beans came out really hard. I also tried soaking, and the cooking time wasn't enough to get them soft(er) either. I had to run them through twice, throwing some away because the weight of them soaked and cooked once became to heavy. It also won't hold a pound of beans. I make a big batch and freeze some to use in soups & stews at another time. It's grea

Perfect every time! Cooks beans and grains to perfection. Takes away any guesswork with its built in scale . I cannot recommend this enough if you want a better rice and bean cooking option.

Easy to use and the rice comes out perfect every time. I haven’t tried anything else in it yet, but I expect it will be great.

This thing is sort of amazing.. the directions on the LED screen make the cooking and time really easy cleanup isn’t a big deal. I would say this is the best one we’ve ever purchased. This product was done right
