Love this kitchen tool. Cooks different Rices and cereals perfectly. Very easy to clean. I saw this being used at someone else's home and was impressed. I ordered mine the next day. We were using a janky little walmart rice cooker for 5 years before my husband asked for 'a real one'. While i had a decent general idea of what I was looking for, we watch a good bit of ian fujimoto's videos and it's one he recommends. Reading the reviews sold us on it more than he did, but it was great having an idea of a brand to look for from him.It's relatively compact for what it is. Holds plenty of rice for our needs. These are the best rice cookers! Nt cheap, but long lasting and well worth the money.I wanted to replace my Zojirushi 10 cup with a much smaller one. Wasn't sure this one would be as good as my 10 cup (10 year old) one but it works just as well. This one is perfect for my needs now. Small footprint, cooks perfect rice everytime. Love it.

We have owned one of these for 15 years or so and rarely have we had a problem with it...except for user error (more later). I like to eat oatmeal in the morning and I find it wonderfully convenient to be able to set it up before I go to bed at night. The oatmeal is ready at exactly when I have set for it to be ready and off I go. If for some reason I don't get to it right away, it will keep the oatmeal hot for as long as I need it to.
