I own a smaller, fancier Tiger rice cooker that cooks amazing rice, so I am no stranger to the brand. I like the larger 5.5 cup capacity of this rice cooker. I mainly cook 3 cups of Jasmine rice, but am happy to be able to put on a bigger pot if there are guests.The design is very simple and sleek. I am not sure why this unit does not come with a handle. This is a fantastic rice cooker. Granted, my point of reference has been a series of lower cost Aroma brand cookers, which are perfectly fine in their own right, but this thing is a whole other level. It's very simple to use, but it just doesn't go wrong. Very little clumping or overcooking the rice on the bottom, very little mess from starchy steam (which Aroma is really bad about), and nice fluffy rice. I especially love the measurement markings inside the pot that tell you exactly how much water to add based on the amount of rice. It takes all the guesswork out of getting the ratio right.
