Easy to use and cooks a large amount of rice

Thank god amazon carried this product. I went with TIGER because I read a lot of negative reviews about Zojirushi, and I'm really glad that I did.Zojirushi was the main brand when I was growing up. As an Asian American, I remember my grandparents, relatives, parents, and parents' friends all having a rice cooker with a flower imprint on it (yes, it's true what the other Asian guy said: if there's no flower print, we don't feel like buying it, LOL. Bought to replace one MIL gave us a quarter of a century (or more) ago. Bit disappointed that there was a small dent in the metal basket when it arrived, but so slight it hasn't adversely affected function or fit. We use this cooker several times a week, just as we did our last one. Looking forward, it may well outlive us 😄

Rice cooker works very well

I already owned 3 rice cookers before getting this, one of which is a 10 cup Panasonic that I purchased in 1980 for 130$. Two of the 3 are Japanese, like this one. One is electronic for brown rice, and one is a neat smaller Zoji 5.5 cup. All are in fine working condition, all are top line rice cookers, and so I have a decent base knowledge to compare the Tiger. The Tiger impresses me as a quality unit, and with only one cook session to go on it cooked great gohan rice. That's not going to be a problem, I know already. The rice cooker I bought this time doesn't cook rice right, it cooks extremely fast, the rice is very raw, dry, not sticking at all, and taste like rubber by the time it's done. I bought this rice cooker to replace my decades old Tiger rice cooker which I dropped on the floor one day and it has a big dent on it, it makes sense to get a new one. While I did like the look of the finish, I found the craftsmanship and material flimsy, plasticky, cheap and light. Unfortunately by the time we started using it, it passed the Amazon 30 day return window, I can't return it as defective item. So we cont
