I bought this a few years ago. I really wasn't expecting this grill to still be perfect. Most grills just stop working. But, this specific grill is my go to cooker. I cook EVERYTHING on it. I cook ribs, chicken, spaghetti (yes spaghetti by just adding water and salt just enough to cover the spaghetti in water) and it comes out like a restaurant meal !! This thing is awesome! When I looked across the cooking surface I had flashbacks to my time in the Navy stationed aboard an aircraft carrier looking across the flight deck. It heats up fast, non-stick is great, huge, and easy to clean. The temperature setting doesn't match the actual temperature according to my IR thermometer. It's usually measures about 500 deg F when I have it set at 425 deg.

I'm updating my original review. I have come to love this griddle. After 30+ years of using many griddles, this has proven to be the best of them all. Its costly for sure, but you absolutely wont find a better griddle that heats evenly with great non-stick. In reading the other reviews, I had the sense that this would be a very solid commercial grade griddle. Based upon the price (about 3 times more expensive than other brands) I expected this to be head and shoulders above the competition which consists of mainly flimsy, poorly designed units which seem to have a very short life span, uneven heating and questionable non-stick coatings.So, the unit is manufactured by Zojirushi. This thing is BIG. It was a Christmas present to my wife. We love it and use it at least a few times a month to make pancakes loaded with nutritional ingredients to freeze for our special needs son who is a very picky eater. My wife doesn’t spend four hours cooking them anymore thanks to its size and quick even heating. It cooks so evenly thanks to its lengthy winding heating coil.
