The knives appear to be decent quality for the price. I'll admit I have not used all of them yet. But the scissors worked nicely on plastic as well as paper packaging, and the knives I used were fine. I prefer a heavier knife for chopping but that's a personal preference. The knives appear as they are described. They are colorful pastels. First impressions are good. The knives are sharp and the sheaths fit well and appear to be well made and should last quite a while. The coating appears durable. The handles have good enough ergonomics (certainly better than some others). This is a nice set. It is something different for your kitchen if you want to add color to it. The knives that I have used cut smoothly. I have not used all of them yet, but if the ones I used cut great, then the others will too. It comes with a small cutting board and some scissors. I really like that the knives come with its own cover. That makes a huge difference to me, especially when you store them in your kitchen drawers. The handles of the knives fit great in my hand making using them comfortable to use. I think this would make a great gift for someone moving into a new place just start
