Works very well! Has a ton of features to use and while setup can take some time depending on your network needs it's well worth it to learn to use to do so. You can use the CLI or a web based GUI - either way works and you can even config from your phone which is a plus!

Cute little device running as a switch since it does have an ASIC for my media center. Runs off of PoE and fairly straightforward to set up VLANs and things like OSPF for local management, but I'm also fairly familiar with the OS.Might have a learning curve if you're new to it but it's very capable, especially for the price.Can also be used as a router.

I can log in with the default ip (192.168.88.1) , but as soon as I try to change the default IP range to something else (i.e. 192.168.0.1) it would take the change but refuse to be pingable. Research said IP address can't be change from webui, and must use a different method...what kind of garbage OS can't even do that right?

First, no wireless functionality as many have described (I was aware of this prior to purchase). I only needed one firmware update. As many have described, definitely not for users with no networking skills. It does have a basic configuration when shipped to you to protect your LAN with the exception that I visited Steve Gibson's GRC Shields Up website to do port testing from an outside source. All ports reported a "stealth" rating which is what you want. However, it failed a basic ICMP echo request, which means you can be pinged from the public internet.
