Modern Recording Techniques: A Practical Guide to Modern Music Production (Audio Engineering Society Presents)

I got this book for a college course in Audio Engineering that I'm enrolling in for next year. It has many diagrams and photos illustrating the important parts of music production, theoretical sound principles, and production equipment. Very well put together. My copy is paperback, but the covers are thick and sturdy. The book lays open fairly flat and doesn't try to auto-close itself, which I love. The margins are fairly wide toward the binding of the book, so no text is obscured by being "too close to the center of the book," which is awesome good.

Fairly comprehensive reference for ProTools.

I am a retired professor of Sound Engineering. I have considered various alternative textbooks but settled on this author’s text as being the best available. I used this book in its earlier editions as the required text for my courses. It has an excellent balance of useful information that is both technical and practical. The 10th edition (I bought the paperback version) continues the usefulness of this work. I highly recommend this book as a solid overview of what today’s sound engineers need to know about the recording industry, the relevant science & technology, and useful practical insight

A great help, but it reads like an encyclopedia, and while I really know Music, the vocabulary of the recording industry can be daunting. I’m looking for another textbook.

Says text to speech enabled but then there is no text to speech option on kindle app. Waste of money so I returned but haven’t received my refund yet.
