Wonderful resource!

What an amazing book! I had a hip replacement several years ago and wish I had this book then! Looking to get the next hip done soon so this book is perfect! And since I have been there - I know that it is very accurate! What a great resource to use before, during, and after. It starts with figuring out if you should even have a hip replacement, things to ask your doctor, before surgery and details of what to expect at every stage after surgery. Includes checklist, shopping list, care giver, etc. I have read through the entire book but will be excited to use it as was described to refer to eac

Great info to answer common questions!

If you are thinking about having a hip replacement, this book can help provide you with information on what to expect. This is not a how to recover manual nor anything to provide medical advice as you should contact your doctor or physical therapist for that information. This manual is good as it provides so much info on things you may need, how to best prepare, and things you need to avoid. If you have some questions, this may be for you!

Great to fill in the gaps that MDs don't tell you

I am a PT and this book was great and fills in a lot of gaps for the things that MDs don't tell people especially first few days home and about PT. Could use a little updating in the PT section and depending on what region and hospital group you are going to will sway the popularity of the anterior approach or the posterior approach.

Thinking about a hip replacement, read this first.

I had both my hips replaced and wished I had this book to read at that time. Very informative. This doesn’t give you medical advice but it does help navigate what to expect in a hip replacement. If you’re thinking about getting a hip replacement, read this book first.
