Sooooo disappointed. Very glitchy and failed to output video from a Fire TV Stick.
I had high hopes for this device as a replacement for my Motorola MA1 that died after about 2 years. Unfortunately, it failed miserable.The main reason I chose this one is because it's one of the few wireless Android Auto adapters that have an HDMI input. I was willing to spend the extra money for this feature even though there are lots of wireless AA adapters without it for less than half the cost of this one. Unfortunately, the HDMI input never worked - It recognizes it for a split second, but then just returns to the main AA/HDMI selection menu.The wireless AA functionality is not much bett

It is astonishing how much functionality Ottocast was able to add in such a small device. Since the members of my household include Android and iPhone users, having a single device that does wireless Android Auto and CarPlay is a huge plus for us. This dkes work with both android and apple car please, however it takes quite a bit of time to connect. This item also does not connect every time. There are times when it does not connect at all. The HDMI feature also works

Best way to stream to your car screen
Would give this device 6 stars if I could. It has an hdmi and usb port. With a $10 fire stick power adapter (converts the typical 1A car output to up to 2A for a streaming device), you can run/power a fire stick into one car usb slot. Works for my 2024 Acura. I would definitely check the list of compatible cars.The company also provides updates! After my car had its own software update at the dealership, the Ottocast stopped working properly. I googled how to update the device (by accessing a home menu via the ottocast’s own WiFi) and then it worked even better.This is the simplest way to stre

worked well for a few months. Now it crashes within 10 minutes. Does its job, just doesnt do it for long. I have another one in my other vehicle. Will update this review based on the lifespan of that unit in the future.

Not compatible with 2018 Mini Cooper Countryman
I emailed the manufacturer and gave them all the details of my car, phone and setup. They came back and said it would work with my wired apple Carplay and it should have emulated Andriod Auto. It didn't and my car's display said "Not Compatible with this device". Very disappointed.
