    What I Needed

    I like the way the top works on this can. My old one had a swinging lid, and stuff would get caught in it. I did have trouble finding bags to fit. 13-gallon bags won't work. The ones I am using are 19 gallons.

    Cheap plastic! DO NOT BUY!!!

    After about a month, a crack formed on the top rim! How? The pathetically weak plastic couldn’t handle a regular drawstring, 13 gallon bag stretched over it, something it’s intended to do. Well, I figured that would at least allow the bag to fit without any more cracks. I was wrong. Horrible cheap plastic bin! Rubbermaid used to be reputable; now they make junk.

    Nice looking trash cans that dont look too industrial for use at home.

    Havent seen to many reviews yet for the new version of the touch top trash can, so I thought I should add my opinion on this.To start, I ordered two of these, which Amazon delivered in two giant boxes rather than nesting them into each other and shipping them like that. Not a huge deal, but seemed unnecessary on Amazon's part.The cans themselves feel sturdy and quality, as Rubbermaid products usually do. My only gripe is the lid isnt as smooth acting as I was expecting. I thought the touch top mechanism would be more robust, but it turns out its all a single piece molded into the lid frame, so

    The only way this thing should have anyones trash in it is on the way to the landfill itself

    Terrible lid design, rips bags and it hardly ever opens when the button is pushed.This is both a waste of money and plastic. Avoid at all costs.

    Please bring back this Rubbermaid recycling bin!!!

    Please bring back the Rubbermaid 12.2 gallon swing lid recycling bin with the label on the side!!!!! Bought it for one house and love it, need it for all my rentals!!! What I loved about that one is that it could be next to the garbage the slim way, and neatly under a countertop overhang. I don’t like this can and how it opens. I like that the other one you could put things into without the lid needing extra clearance to open
