When they first sent this to me, I was a little upset because it locked, but it didn’t have the slow closing lid. It just slammed down and I’ve had those before and I said not for nothing but if you spend $60 on a trashcan, you want it to work properly they sent me a replacement and this does work properly as you can see from the video. It does do the slow close lid once you lock in in place your critters can’t get in it and I had read one review that had a picture of it on its side that the dogs had knocked over, but it still didn’t come open because it was locked in place that’s exactly what

I've had a lot of these garbage cans over the years and they all seem to have one problem - it's hard to get the full garbage bags out. The cans are sealed so that there is suction preventing you from getting the bag out. Not this one, it works great.The last trash can I had was an automatic opener and it worked ok, but eventually fell apart. I wish I'd read the reviews for this before I decided to buy it. Needed a trash can for the kitchen and couldn't find one I liked at local stores. Given the price and positive reviews I thought this would be great; Rubbermaid is the name you usually see on larger trash cans after all. Trash bags have to be pulled very tightly to fit on the hooks. I do like the look. The back does catch crumbs and dirt (just like most other trash cans) and can be more difficult to clean out. Overall, it is durable and looks great to be a trashcan

It may be plastic but its perfect in weight, easy to open without a good amount of pressure for kids and elderly. It also looks nice.

Aesthetically, this is a really nice product, but it definitely feels cheap to the touch.
