Love it!

I am 59 and my body works soo much better when I stretch. This book is so helpful and show all the muscles where they function in the body. Great for targeting those little muscles that get pulled. It shows the exact location and that is very helpful when I have a pain, but it seems to be in a specific region of my back, shoulder or neck vs the whole back. It's helpful to find the exact muscle and where to apply pressure for relief.

Stretching is the most important task you can do; Get this book

This book is absolutely wonderful and a great addition for every Massage Therapist like myself or anyone who is interested in how stretching works, how it affects the muscles, which muscles get affected by what kind of stretch and where exactly those muscles are in the body part. Wonderful section in the end of the book about different sports injury and the best corresponding stretches to help relieve symptoms and tight muscles.Stretching is the absolute most important thing everyone needs to do, not just athletes or people who work out a lot. Too many people come for massages to me complainin

Best book for quick stretches that are easy to follow AND do.

I'm constantly challenged to keep my stretching as part of my regular exercise routine. With the Anatomy of Stretching, I was able to stick to my plans and get the stretching done after each session. Lower back and knees are feeling great again.

The remaining chapters go on to describe all of the stretches with pictures, description of techniques, muscles stretched, sports and injuries the stretches may be helpful for and references to complementary stretches. It ends with the top 5 stretches for each sports injury and sport and a glossary of different types of i

Excellent Guide to Stretching

Excellent stretching guide that shows one where to correctly feel the stretch. For me, a quiet space with soft zen music coupled with this book results in a satisfying, injury-free morning stretch session.

Very informative.

This book might be more info than you want. If you can get it on sale, it's well worth it. The clear explanation and the drawings showing the effected muscles makes it easy to understand and follow the instructions. For me it was a refresher to what I learned in physical therapy and also showed where I got a bit sloppy on my stretching.
