The Girl Who Was Taken

I’m a big fan of Charlie and read his books every chance I get. This one was probably my favorite I’ve read. SUCH an interesting spin on the story. 10/10 would read again.

Good read. Story moved well. Suspense throughout the book. I soul read this again! Kept you engaged and wanting to turn to the next page.

I rarely ever write a review for a book, but there was no way I could keep to myself how mind blowing this book is! From beginning to end, it kept me on edge. "A Gripping Psychological Thriller" is the Perfect description of it!

This Book had so many twists and turns! Loved the book, but the ending just left me hanging. I would have liked the ending to give the answer I waited for through the whole book. I highly recommend this book if you love mystery and a puzzle.

Book was really good. Story line and character description let's you get to know them. One of the main characters is the sister of the missing girl the book focuses on and she works for the Coroner. Without getting detailed too much, you get a look into that world. Although it's death, it shows compassion and respect for those whose lives end up on that table.Towards the middle it starts to get twisty, you think you have figured out who takes these girls and then it starts to speed up and become a page turner. I thought The Girl Who Was Taken was an okay read overall. The premise was intriguing, and while I did manage to guess most of the ending, it still held my interest enough to see it through. My favorite part by far was the two main characters—they were compelling and easy to root for.The first two-thirds of the book moved pretty slowly, though things picked up later on. Unfortunately, the very end felt a bit like a letdown and left me with a few lingering questions that never got fully resolved. The Girl Who Was Taken was a dark, twisty thriller that kept me engaged the entire way through. I really enjoyed the shifting timelines, the forensic pathology angle with Livia, and the way the story slowly connected Megan’s kidnapping, Nicole’s disappearance, and the other victims.
