I couldn't put The Surrogate Mother down—I read it in one sitting! Every chapter pulled me deeper into the story, and just when I thought I had everything figured out, another twist kept me guessing. The pacing was relentless, the tension never let up, and I found myself completely invested in every character.This is, without a doubt, my favorite book by this author so far. It had everything I love in a psychological thriller: suspense, surprises, emotional depth, and an ending that stayed with me long after I turned the final page. The Surrogate Mother was an enjoyable and fast-paced read, though it didn’t feel particularly unique in terms of overall concept. The storyline had strong Lifetime movie vibes, making it fairly easy to predict the general direction early on. However, the execution kept the story entertaining and engaging throughout.I especially appreciated the emotional focus on Abby and her experience with infertility and the adoption process. Her desperation and vulnerability felt realistic and added depth to her character, making her decisions understandable even when they placed her in difficult situations

Not my favorite but still worth reading! I love this author she is fantastic. They are always nice quick reads.

I really loved this book, was a good read & would recommend! Was intrigued the whole time! Wasn't a fan of the ending though. 4.5/5 stars!

The Surrogate Mother is a superb Freida McFadden thriller. I was introduced to Freida McFadden's books a year ago by my son’s wife, who loves McFadden’s books, and I've been hooked on them ever since. I did not read the books in the chronological publication order, and this did not affect my enjoyment. Each stands alone. I read all of the more than twenty books during this time and enjoyed each of them. Each was so gripping, so interesting, and suspenseful that I couldn't put them down until I finished them.
