Make sure setting is set before activating "on". Could blow or burn out chips if set too high. Not a function problem but an operation problem. I personally like this unit. You can set amperage limit.

A basic, but rather nice supply. The supplied leads are terminals rather than banana plugs, so slightly awkward, but workable.The beeps are way too loud, but you can mostly disable them. Except the power on one. I hope they fix that. It's annoying.

Originally had an issue that the unit was not holding higher voltages, 24v in my case, at medium amperage. After contacting the seller they instructed to make sure the mains input voltage selector was set to the proper voltage. It was not and once corrected the unit excelled at holding voltages while powering a CFL inverter at 24v. I saw that other people initially had the same issue, but no response about this simple fix, so I thought I would write this review and mention it. I highly recommend this product for an easy to use, flexible, and feature rich power supply.

This is an excellent small bench power supply. Very solid construction, simple and intuitive controls, and accurate and steady outputs. The power supply unit itself is 5 stars.But the alligator leads supplied are just junk. The alligator clips themselves are covered with a plastic so slippery that it's all but impossible to clip them onto anything. The power supply ends of these leads are U clips, so you have to unscrew the output terminals, put the clips under them, then screw them down. This is just an unnecessary nuisance. I've had it for several months, and it hasn't let me down yet. For the price, I doubt you can beat it. It was under 50 when I bought it, now about 10 bucks higher. The power cord is only 3 feet or so, my only complaint.
