At 64 years old, and I'm brand new to sewing. I have had many back surgeries, so the idea of using my foot to make a sewing machine operate has been a non-starter for me, from the beginning. However given my new paper craft hobby, and my wanting to be able to add the feature of a real sewn look to many of my crafts, I decided to look into sewing machines to see what was available. I found this model and I love, love, love it!! Not only do I get to sew without having the foot pedal attached (it's still in the box), but I find the controls, that are right above the needle area, to be super easy

Good quality, has all the fun and necessary functions of stitches. It stars with the reverse and needle position buttons where you need them handy. The table is large and easy on/off, definitely a necessity. Instruction manual clear to read and find sections. Low sounding machine. Foot pedal basic. I have sewn Demin, cotton, webbing, etc and no issues. No tension issues. Feed down works well. The needle threader is easy yet seems to be way to big of a contraption on this machine to do a simple job. The bobbin is easy to use yet it is a hit and miss with winding on its own up/down the spool eve

This sewing machine has everything I wanted in a sewing machine. It's so easy to use great for beginners or seasoned vets. It's a great value for the money. I spent the same on my old brother and it doesn't even compare to this one. Love the different speed controls and most importantly the needle down position button and back stitch button are perfect! I haven't figured out the needle threaded yet but I will !

Machine seems to be good, haven't had a chance to use it yet. Not exactly for beginners. A little hard to set up. When I did start setting it up, I realized the cover and attachments were missing. I checked into retting these items replaced, but found out I would have to return the whole machine, that parts can't be replaced. Since I already have the machine threaded and the bobbin put in I don't want to return the machine and go thru all that again. I will just use it as is and look more carefully at items I purchase in the future.

Excellent machine for my needs. My previous sewing machine is a much older Brother that has been used for apholstery, drapes, alterations. It traveled with me to homes of relatives & friends to repair or altar clothes or upholster dining chairs & make table runners & place mats. When I bought this new Brother, I showed my niece how to use my older one & gave it to her. Brother sewing machines are dependable.

Love this machine. My friend had one and recommended me to buy and so did my sewing instructor. So far so good
