I wanted a blender for making smoothies. That was all really. I have made ice cream as well and I am getting a little more adventurous now. I rarely write reviews, but since Cleanblend isn’t a huge company with a lot of marketing, I figured a review was warranted. I bought this back in March 2026 (it’s now July 2026) and I’m very happy with it. I mainly use it for making salsa and Mexican sauces and it does a really good job. When I make my sauce, I do strain it, however, I don’t think it’s absolutely necessary because the blender does a good job at blending everything. Before this I was using a $100 Oster blender. It sucked. It was underpowered and loud. It would leak from the bottom. It would constantly kick the smoothie liquids up the sides of the pitcher every second so I could never get a thorough blend. I ended up getting a refund from Oster directly. I DO NOT recommend it. I bought it based on the majority of the reviews, overall. I should have believed the few negative reviews. Apparently, by the reviews, some people just need a blender for light duty tasks. Cleanblend does NOT handle heavy duty tasks like the Vitamix does. We bought one of these blenders about 20 years ago, a 2 HP one, and it is still working fine and blends much better than the cheaper ones. I don't know if this one is the same brand, but it is 3 HP, and it is very powerful and totally commercial grade.
