Very impressed with this blender, especially for the price. A tremendous value and it's the quietest blender I've ever used (or heard). It has 4 modes (speed settings) but for most people, it's plenty and gets the job done every time. We throw frozen fruit in for smoothies and it has plenty of power. It's very easy to clean, simply remove the bottom, pop out the blade section and clean. Very easy to dis and reassemble. I purchased this blender and tested it out of the box. The Blender stopped working the first time I used it--after about 20 seconds. The motor was completely dead. I tested it on various outlets and tested the outlets--but completely dead motor--just nothing! I contacted the extended warranty company who referred me to Black & Decker since it was less than a year old. I was on hold with Black and Decker and referred to another department, and then on hold for another long time. The company was polite and gave me lots of instructions on how to submit the Claim. It worked great to make a smoothie, although it took a bit for everything to get blended up properly. I had to stop it a few times and stir things around. The cord could be a bit longer but I like that there's a way to wrap it underneath. I also appreciate that the blender can be taken apart to be cleaned. Overall a nice little blender.

Smaller footprint than a Ninja. Works just as well, simple assembly & functions. Love the glass container (no plastics) but heavier than I remembered from the 80’s. Sound is slightly less than a Ninja. I’m very pleased.

This blender feels to me like the tank blenders of old. Thick glass, heavy motor, tight seal on the top.The blender also seats well in the base for a very stable feel. The choices of blender speeds is adequate to my needs but some folks may need more speed options.The jar itself is well designed and all the parts fit together tightly. I've had no problems running all the jar parts, including the lid, through the dishwasher. I think my only complaint is that the surface of the lid is oddly soft and scratches VERY easily.
