This was like a lifesaver, making dinner so much easier to cook for about a month. Then my house filled up with the smell of burned plastic, I traced it back to the kitchen but could not find what was causing the smell. When I did, I saw that the control panel had melted, to my absolute horror. For the first time ever the rice had also burned without automatically going to the warm setting. I took the cooking dish out and used a wooden spoon to try to turn the rice cooker off but it wouldn't turn off. Live this rice cooker. It makes wonderful tasting rice and steamed vegetables - even at the same time. I love how easy it is to make rice and even more so on how quick and easy it is to clean. It’s a nice size for small spaces but yet makes enough for bigger crowds. Would certainly recommend this cooker.

I was replacing a Cuisinart rice cooker (my second over the years) and thought I’d try something more budget-friendly. On paper, this BLACK+DECKER model looked comparable. Easy to use and makes great quality rice.

I got an old version of this black & decker rice cooker around 1991. Even though the non-stick was all scratched up and I had dropped and dented the bowl, it still worked after 30+ years, but when the power cord started having issues and I dropped and dented the body to match the dented bowl...I gave in and just bought another.The first thing I noticed was the bowl seems at least half as thick as the old one. Like dollar store frying pan thin in comparison. I do not want to drop this one because it will definitely dent WAY easier. The coating is also different, but don't feel that matters. The

been a great rice cooker simple and easy my previous rice cooker didn't come with a pot cover so I had to use aluminum foil for a cover, now I don't have to. Just cook the rice and put in the fridge.

The 16 cups is perfect for my family of seven. I like that it’s a simple press down and start cooking. It’s made by a great company so all is good.
