I own a 15inch MacBook that I use for everything (don't have a desktop) and thought it pointless to spend unnecessary money when I can simply connect a monitor for half the price of a desktop. I needed a hub monitor for office work (programming, spreadsheets etc) and this fits the bill perfectlyI much prefer having a single 2K monitor than trying to wrangle 2-3 HD monitors with arms and alignment and all that nonsense. This is way simpler and there's no bezels in the middle of my view.A huge plus is the USB-C with Displayport. I connect just 1 cable from my laptop to the monitor and that's it! I bought this as a main monitor to run Logic Recording Sessions and Final Video Editing and couldn’t be happier. The wide screen allows for the full timeline to be displayed, and the usb c connectivity is excellent for Mac users. I will note that video quality isn’t bad by any means, but if you’re expecting crystal clear 4K video playback, you might want to search elsewhere. For editing music & video this monitor rocks.

I want to be clear here: this is not a bad monitor. It fits my setup, does the job, looks alright. However, it has very few ports. My 8-year old other Dell 34in curved monitor has many more, so if you need more connections of any kind, be mindful that there is not a lot. Mine has HDMI, USB-C, USB-A and that's it. No DisplayPort etc. Also the color is not as good as my older one.If you need to attach it to a stand with the VESA interface, be aware that the place where the VESA bracket goes in is kind of sunk-in, by around 1/4 of an inch. Really great monitor. It's the consumer version of the one I use at work. This version includes speakers, which I didn't care too much about but are a nice bonus. High quality display, very attractive stand, and very stable. I especially have to give a hat tip to whoever designed the packaging and setup. I know that sounds funny, but it was very well packaged, and set up was possibly one of the most intuitive I've ever done, with visuals on the packaging. And it's a great price point. Very disappointing experience. I purchased a brand-new Dell 34” monitor, and it arrived defective straight out of the box.The monitor’s stand/leveling mechanism does not properly support the screen, causing it to noticeably sag and lean to the left. Even when I manually level the monitor, it immediately drops back down. I had an LG that I thought I liked. It checked a lot of boxes. I dropped the LG during a move. Replaced it with this one and couldn't be happier. Very satisfied with the setup, color, adjustability, and power delivery to my work laptop.
