Black Friday falls on November 27, 2026 and Cyber Monday on November 30, 2026. On Amazon the two have merged into one stretch that starts in early November with “early Black Friday deals” and runs through the Monday. Most of the best prices of the year on headphones, monitors, storage and peripherals land in that window, which is why it is worth waiting for some purchases and pointless to wait for others.
This is our evergreen guide to the event; we update it each year and keep the facts general. We do not print prices because they change daily, and we do not claim to know what will be discounted. The five products below were chosen using rating, review count and price data at the time of writing, and each one is a good buy whether or not it gets a deal badge.
What typically drops the most
Based on past years, these categories have seen the deepest and most consistent markdowns on Amazon in late November.
- Headphones and earbuds. Sony, JBL and Bose models from the previous one or two generations are the classic Black Friday deal. Last year’s flagship is often the best value on the site that week.
- Monitors. Dell, Samsung and LG 27-inch and ultrawide monitors drop hard, especially models a year or more old. See our 27-inch 4K guide for what to look for.

- Keyboards and mice. Logitech’s MX line and Razer’s gaming peripherals have appeared in the sale nearly every year.
- Smart speakers, streaming sticks and e-readers. Amazon’s own devices usually reach their lowest prices of the year.
What rarely drops
- Current-generation consoles. The PS5 and Nintendo’s current system rarely get a straight price cut. What you see instead are bundles with a game included, which can still be good value.
- New Apple hardware. iPhones, the latest MacBooks and new AirPods models see small cuts at most, and often only from third-party retailers. Older Apple products and accessories do drop.
- Anything released in the last two months. New products do not need a discount to sell in November.
- Popular items that are already back-ordered. If the stock is thin in October, it will not be cheaper in November.
A simple plan
- Make a list now. Decide what you actually need before the deal badges start pulling at you. Use the wishlist page on this site to save products from our guides, and mirror it in your Amazon list so you get price-drop notifications.
- Learn the current price. Note what each item costs in October. That is your benchmark, not the “List Price” Amazon strikes through in November.
- Watch the early deals in November. Amazon’s early Black Friday deals often match the Friday price on the same items, with better stock. If your target hits its known low early, buy it.
- Check the price history on the day. A 90-day chart on a price-tracking site takes ten seconds and settles most “is this real?” questions.
- Use the return window. Purchases in this period typically carry an extended return period through January. If you buy on Friday and a better deal appears on Monday, you can return and reorder.

We use the MX Master 3S every day and reviewed it in full here. The G29 is the classic entry to racing games, and after years on sale it still holds a 4.6-star rating from more than 21,000 owners. It is a bulky, higher-ticket gift, which is exactly why it is worth waiting for: big Logitech G items have had some of the largest dollar discounts in past Black Friday sales. For Xbox households, look for the G920 version instead.

Black Friday or Cyber Monday?
For tech on Amazon the difference has mostly disappeared: the same deals usually run from the Thursday through the Monday. Historically, Cyber Monday tilts slightly toward laptops, software and smaller electronics, while Black Friday has the bigger TV and monitor deals. Stock is the real variable. If an item on your list hits its known low on Friday, buy it; waiting for Monday risks a sold-out listing more than it promises a lower price.
Do I need Prime for Black Friday deals?
No. Unlike Prime Day and Prime Big Deal Days, Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals on Amazon are open to everyone. Prime members get free faster shipping and sometimes early access to specific deals.
What is the return window for Black Friday purchases?
