I’ve been really impressed with this knife set. The knives are sharp right out of the box, feel solid in your hand, and make prepping food a lot easier. They have a nice weight to them, and the Damascus finish gives them a premium look without being too flashy. Overall, it’s a great set that feels like it will last for years.
Not like any Damascus knives I’ve seen previously. I get the sense that the Damascus is purely decorative to get the tidal wave effect. That said the knives are beautiful, very sharp, the edge is holding well a couple months in and the handles are stunning and unique. The knives are very functional, good to look at and have added to the kitchen experience.Update: I still like the knives very much but have learned a hard lesson. The cleaver needs to be treated more delicately than I would have expected. I spatchcocked some poultry recently and the ribs chipped and ruined the cleaver blade. The

He’s very much a pro in the kitchen, and normal knives were cutting it.If you’re looking for something sharp with a style, this is it! Listen. To everyone saying these arent real Damascus steel and are laser etched, you are absolutely wrong. Using a microscope and acid test reveals that it is indeed Damascus and not etched. I do not know how they are selling true Damascus for so cheap. 60 to 70 dollars for a Damascus VG10 is really good pricing.Now onto the issues.People saying these chip obviously did not read the booklet that came with the knives. They specifically say do not use them kn frozen meat or bone. So, dont do that and it wont chip. Simple.Do NOT put these in the dishwasher. These arent the kind of knives you can

I bought the Senken Tidal Wave knife set with the blue handles. They look great, both in the knife holder and out of it. I do believe that they are quality Damascus steel, and vg10 steel is quite good. Up until recently I have only used them in my home kitchen. I decided to put them to the test at a friend's restaurant. I tested the 10-in and the 8-in chefs two separate days.
