I do like this set of knives. It is visually quite attractive and reasonably sharp out of the box. The knives are a flat grind which tends to be a more cost-effective manner of production that has become popularized as a less costly means of sharpening. Over the years I’ve found that knives always work good when they are new, so having knives that can be sharpened is key. My first impression of this set was favorable. I was able to easily slice through tomato, a bagel, and cut a chicken breast. The set looks really nice on the counter, there is a built in sharpener and they are dishwasher safe since the handles are not made of wood. While the block and knives look really good, I wasn’t a fan of the needed memory skills…. These knives look fantastic as you remove them from the packaging. Very sleek. However, once you're actually holding them in your hand, you'll notice that they are incredibly light, with plastic grips. They don't come very sharp, but there is a sharpening tool included in the block, so that's not a real concern. What I really dislike though is that the blades themselves have a lot of flex to them. I don't see them standing up long-term to heavy use.These would be a great starter set for single person's first apartment, or for an RV/hunting cabin, but for regular home kitchen use, I'd probably

I was excited when I ordered this knife set to review. All my knifes I have had for many years. It came very well packaged. No scratches on the knife block. The knives came in a separate box with coverings on each knife. The knives are gorgeous to look at solid black. I hen came time to try each knife out. They weren’t as sharp as they looked. This is a fantastic looking knife set. The matte black is impressive and looks great on my countertop. The blades seem very sharp to me and cut through breakfast sausage with ease. I found the steak knives worked well, too. I would have liked a little description for what each knife is best suited to cut, but that is what google is for. I don't quite think these are "professional" level, but at this price point I think it makes for an awesome knife set.

I love these knives, they are lightweight and ergonomically sound and a very sharp. They come with a variety of cutting knives, paring knife chopping knives and steak knives. The wooden box they come in is well made and the best thing is that it has a built in knife sharpener which actually work. We have a set of Cutco knives that we out way because they are not the quality of these knives. Extremely happy and the were individually wrapped and well packaged and it took about a week to receive but well worth the wait
