I had a dell inspiron 9i since 2020 and it WAS A NIGHTMARE. That’s what you get for buying on a whim because the deal was so great! I couldn’t even set it down on a table to type for 10 minutes.. especially with windows 10/11 and its constant update needs. That’s its own thing. I’m still shocked that so many laptop makers put fans on the bottom. The intake air holes are almost always covered.. derp. I know, where else where they go? I’ll never leave Lenovo again.. the slim 7i aura 14in.. very satisfied with this laptop.. it’s so quiet.. well built.. beautiful screen.. perfect amount of ports..

It came with a bad battery or something, it won’t turn on. I have to take it to get it fixed because I already put my stickers on it. So now on top of paying $1k, I have to pay to get it fixed. This is absolutely unacceptableEdit: Took it to a repair shop and the motherboard is shot, it’s $1400 to replace it. Absolutely unacceptable for a manufacturer to not check it. I have to find a way to get my stickers off so I can get a replacement because some of them are irreplaceable. Battery life is mediocre. I got the device up and running with all updates, Onedrive syncs, Microsoft 365, applied WIn 11 Pro license key. I charged the battery up to 97% (charger gets pretty warm) and then made a recovery USB drive. That took about 2.5 hours and used 60% of the battery life. Otherwise, everything runs AOK. Windows works, ports work, second monitor works, syncs work, compatible with old printer. The device is thin and light. But there is no way this runs for 17 hours under any sort of load.

Bought for my girlfriend, great laptop from the screen to functionality. She can even play video games like Hogwarts legacy off the bat. She takes it everywhere with her and can easily start doing her work or studying.She originally had a Slim 7i from around 2022 or 2023 which held up so well, this laptop in comparison feels just as solid and even more so. I've had this laptop for over a month now and it's great. It's lighter than my other computer and is able to keep up with my bad habit of keeping multiple tabs open without slowing down. The touch screen is really cool, a little sad it's not fingerprint resistant but that's what screen protectors are for. Great battery life. It lasts me the full day with full usage and I don't have to plug it in until the next day.
