The Linksys AX2200 provides standard 802.11ax connectivity with an eclectic mixture of app and web administration.In the same room, my MacBook shows a physical link rate of 1,441Mbps, connecting via 5GHz and 160MHz channel width. It seems to me that you must enable DFS (dynamic frequency selection) to get devices to connect at 160MHz. 2 floors down to the basement I get a good connection at 150-200Mbps link rate. Basic router that gets the job done well. The setup is through an app and it was overly complicated, but other than that it works well.

When it works, it's great. Two to three times a week it will lose internet connection. Cameras, TV, and phones stay connected but have no internet. You get messages that a site can't be reached and TV streaming freezes. The only way to fix it is to shut it down for half a minute, then turn it on to reboot and wait another 2-4 minutes. This is my third Linksys and quality is definitely slipping.Edit: Dropped it to one star. One week after my return window closed it now drops internet connection at least once a day and can take up to 6 minutes to reconnect, avoid this model.

Easy to install, good price, does what it should well.

The only thing that fails with this router is the installation instructions. At times they fail to specify the difference between the routers unique login code and the password it asks you to create. Otherwise this is a fantastic device. My neighbors many houses away saw it when my older router effective range was considerably shorter. Create a good password for personal protection.
