I've got lots of cast iron, but this is my new favorite. Here are a few tips for other users. The griddle is perfectly flat and well-made, but it tips from corner to corner on my burners. It's an issue with the design of my burner grates, not the grill. If you have this problem, just fold up a little piece of foil and stick it under one of the edges that tips. Problem solved.People often complain about foods spilling off a griddle. If that's happening, then you should cook that type of food in a skillet. update 12.31.14I use this almost daily. I generally use lard when I cook now because man made science lab veggie oils have certain characteristics that you might want to read about. Lard is natural and doesn't break down at high temps but that's beside the point. After 6 months of living with it and using it I felt it was time to update my review. I did have a few sticking problems at first. there was a learning curve to this grill/griddle too so I had ruined a few pamcakes. getting used to cooking with lard and leaving the lard on the surface to cool then removing it and rinse/scrub cleaning

I do enjoy this little griddle. It is convenient and quicker to get breakfast done for my family. As it gets seasoned more, food doesn't want to stick as much as during first use. The weight of it is fairly heavy of course but not terrible. Unfortunately our griddle did start to warp. To try and correct and (possibly) stop it from getting worse I use the opposite side a little more often. If it doesn't work, I'm personally okay with it. It will become our campfire griddle for up at camp and then I'll just purchase a flat top grill with handles to use for the stove.

Grilling on stovetop couldn’t be better. The Space of the product is amazing and definitely a must for any new adults living on their own. Even for current ones, it’s great for its price. And the simplicity of it makes the quality top notch.

Excellent replacement for the coated cast iron looking skillet that came with our oven cooktop (GE Cafe series gas oven cooktop). I had thought the original oven griddle plate was cast iron until the surface started to chip. I have a Lodge skillet before and it's excellent. This griddle is similar to my skillet but has an even less porous and smoother surface so food is even less likely to stick. It seems to be very level so it makes good contact with the standoffs over the burners and with it's relatively heavy weight, it never moves or slides.I like cooking with solid metal pans so this grid

Great product, cooked great and easy cleaning. Not large enough on my Weber gas grill for smash burgers so I ordered another cast iron one today so I will have enough cooking surface
