Best kitchen scale I’ve ever had.
Plastic is actually a GOOD thing with this scale... I normally like steel and other metals, but this makes the smaller scales lighter and easier to clean. The scale is accurate measured with scientific weights, so I KNOW that the portions of recipe ingredients will remain constant and accurate. I love that it can use both power sources, (DC Adapter or batteries...), because the batteries seem to last forever, but in those times that I spend in the church kitchen, have the A/C option is really appropriate.The Verdict:This is a good addition to ANY kitchen!

I ordered this San Jamar Escali Kitchen Scale for two main reasons. My old, current scale doesn’t allow me to toggle between units of measure without having to remove the food and re-weigh it, which is annoying when I try out a new recipe that lists cups and ounces, not grams. It also has a tendency to fluctuate when I weigh some foods, even though I put in new batteries.This Escali kitchen scale is very lightweight because it’s mostly plastic, and it’s good it has nonslip feet.
