I’ve used this scale for many years. The first one has lasted well over 25 years. I particularly like that it reads in fractions of a gram or fractions of an ounce. I bought this scale for use in home wine making and in the kitchen. The scale has a very reasonable price and has very acceptable accuracy. I checked the scale with professional standard weights. Keep in mind, 1 gram = 0.035 ounces. The scale was inconsistent at 0.5 gm (or 0.017 oz). It was right on at 1 gm consistantly. It errored slightly high at heavier weights. It was 0.5gm high with a 500 gm standard weight and 1.1 gm high with 1000 gm standard weights. That is fine with me for the price of the scale. When I hear people spending north of a hundred bucks on a scale I just shake my head. This bad-boy accomplishes 99.5 percent of what I need for around a tenth of that. The platform is wide enough to hold a dosing funnel and/or portafilter easily. It's also way thinner than most cheap scales -- it fits easily under my low-group head to allow me to weigh shot volume. Finally a scale that gives me the same measurement everytime!! Wonderful scale, great compact size, can in video used for size reference. This is the 5th scale I’ve tried and I am finally not returning this one. Gave me the same measurement for 10 gram calibrating weight every time as well as higher and lower measurements. Love that it comes with 2 trays so I can measure my spice blend accurately. Highly recommend!
