Edit: The review I wrote before still stands. This scale and other iterations with different brand names are very accurate. This one lasted a couple years. But somehow water got in last night and it is now dead. Having success with this model has led me to buy a replacement (4/28/24). One tip (that I didn't heed this time) was to cover the buttons and read-out with scotch tape. The tape makes it a bit harder to read, but the tape will prohibit water from getting into the circuitry and killing the machine.
