generally i tent to avoid msi boards from old past experiences but as of recently i havent had any good luck with my usual contender asus, and gigabyte didnt have the features i needed so i figured it give this a try.so far its been solid! i specifically got this cause it has a ton of usb ports and has a 10gb Ethernet connection. i use this to connect directly to another high end computer so i can pass very large files between them for rendering videos.wile it works great there was some puzzling design choices that this board has.1. theirs only one cpu fan connector. im not sure why it didnt h

Great motherboard. I like that it has enough usb plugs on the motherboard for my case. My last motherboard was a MEG Unify while I like the SSD Hetasinks they don’t seem to actually press the thermal pad down onto the ssd that well as is the case here with this MEG ACE Z890. Not a huge problem I just installed a thicker thermal pad. I purchased as a used like new deal which did not come without its own problems but Amazon was good about making it right and I ended up cleaning the thermal paste off that was everywhere on the cpu socket and around it as well as tightening screws to the snap on s

This Motherboard looks so good. It perfectly fit my build aesthetic and now I have a high performing and good looking PC build. It really helps me get every last bit of performance out of my 285k processor. It has literally every feature you can think of and has so much I/O which is all super fast like no low speed usb 2.0 ports here. I really like the bios interface and how easy it is to navigate. I think heatsink is not install properly in factory packout. The motherboard heatsink already felt off inside the electrostatic bag, and causing scratches on one of the connector, and a bit damage on thermal pad as shown in the picture.Hopefully, the motherboard still function ok, need to test it later with other components in place.5/20 - tested, board works ok, great motherboard

imo, best board that money can buy, has every feature that one can dream of - especially dual CPU PCIe slots, and dual bios (just in case)

This Z890 motherboard from MSI is fantastic for the new 200 series processors from Intel.The construction is top notch, 8-layer, server grade components throughout.From the overbuilt vrm power stages to the reinforcement of the pcie slots this motherboard is a sight to behold. While this motherboard isn't cheap $649 on Amazon, I think it's construction more than justifies the higher price. I think the additional pcie lanes are great as you can now use a gen 5 nvme in slot m.1 without cutting into the Gpu lanes, x16 to x8 and cutting its output in half.Great job MSI..!

The new features in some high end MoBos like this are great. One in particular is the easy release of the GPU slot. It makes removing the graphics card very safe and simple. Having the Clear CMOS button on the IO panel is very handy for when things get messed up while tuning. There are tons of USB options as well as m.2 drive locations. It's been fairly stable and allows for some simple overclocking in the BIOS. It looks pretty cool too. And that's why you pay so much for this thing. haha.

Mobo rox! ... But the 10g Nic is faulty. Marvell driver is either bad, or chip is faulty. Network adapter crashes, drops all connections, dies infrequently. The only way to fix is to disable and enable it in device manager. It's like this on all marvel 10g controllers. I wish they put the Intel 10g nic on here.
