I have had this power supply now for several months and it works as advertised. I like that it has two LED lit dials, one for amps being drawn and one for voltage. I have mine set for 13.8 volts DC as recommended by most amateur radio gear. When transmitting with my HF or VHF transceiver at 100 watts, the voltage does not drop any nor does the needle even flicker. The amp meter does show the proper amount of amperage being used. MY Jesverty SPS 5011-50 amp power supply is going on 2 years since I purchased it. I have had no issues with it what so ever. It's never got warm enough for the fan to come on using my President George with my RM ITALY 503HD OR WITH MY RCI X9 HP. Physical size is equal to 2 Cobra 29's stacked. I run my radios at 14.1 volts which is adjustable from 9 to 15 volts at a max of 50 amps. It has on the front a 12 volt car plug in and 2 terminals for wire leads for other accessories. In the back you do have a built in fuse for the unit- a large +/- red and black terminals and a toggle switch for 13.8

Replacing an old linear supply that weighed a ton and put off a lot of heat. This supply is light, quiet, and cool. Does exactly what I need it to do for powering 100W HF rig and accessories.

Received in new perfect condition. Works as advertised. Everything checked out. Using it now for my ham radio station. 40 amps continuous and 50 amps surge. At the time of this review I've owned the Sverty 50 amp switching power supply for a few months. It is used with a Yaesu ft891 driving an Ameritron ALS 500M amplifier. Voltage and Amperage meters are accurate as expected and the amp output doesn't fluctuate during transmit from lack of power. There have been no amp shutdowns from lack of input power or issues with this supply during transmit. I drive the amp with 12 to 15 watts and get 275-350 watts out from the amp. I don't get into lengthy QSOs when using the amp but that's not really what the ALS 500M is designed for anyway. I would recomme

Works OK and delivers 13.8 V at 25 A to my ham radio equiment. The volt meter worked at first but then appeared to stick. It read low at 13.8 V and would not return to zero. The power supply delivered 13.8 V as measured with a digital voltmeter. It now appears to be working correctly.
