I use this to make smoothies. I have a glass mug that is just the right size to accommodate the blender.I usually make mine with frozen bananas, frozen strawberries and coconut milk. I used to use a regular counter top blender, two of them died so I thought I try an immersion blender. For my purposes this one is more than adequate for my needs. I like the fact that has so many speeds, I start it on a lower speed and crank it up as the frozen fruit starts getting ground up. I have not used it yet for it's actual purpose, I only ran it a bit and it seems powerful, and very smooth. I like that it has a lot of metal and the buttons are easy to push, unlike a different stick blender I had for years that would exhaust my hand rather quickly. I gave 4 stars for now, only because I have a couple of concerns. 1.) The turbo setting makes a hard vibration inside the housing upon release of the button. I really like my blender. I’ve been using it to prepare homemade mayo. It’s exceeded my expectations. I made some hummus and it turns out really smooth and perfect consistency. Pretty easy to clean. It’s sturdy and heavy, not cheap at all, and feels like excellent craftsmanship. Looks elegant. Simple to use and I would buy one as a gift in the future for family or friends. Would love to see other appliances from this same brand, like a stand mixer.
