It was delivered the next day and was really impressed with the weight (light) and battery included to use it the minute you open it up. Yes you will find different uses after you start using it. Naturally the kitchen is another place I found it pleasantly useful. Highly recommend this product and the appearance is definitely modern looking. I've had this scale for about a year. All the buttons still work and the batteries last a long time. It is accurate enough for any cooking in the kitchen, but I must say the accuracy is much less than advertised (+/- 0.1g).It seems to have an algorithm that "wants to" display the same weight every time you remove an item from the balance and then put it back, even if you change the weight by several grams. Just now I put a dish on the zeroed scale, got a reading of 90g, tared that to read 0.0g, added 22.3g of fennel seed according to the scale, tared that to 0.0g, then removed up to 2.8g of fe

I like having a easy on/off button. Plus, the top piece comes off for easy washing. I'm happy with mine.
