As a seasoned sewer, XM2701 Lightweight Sewing Machine is perfect for me. I really appreciate the printed manual and quick start guide that came in the box. The only time I needed a You Tube video was to find the S setting on the hand dial. That was not very well explained clearly in the book. I just needed a needle threader that works, a easy wind drop in bobbin, straight and zigzag stitching. I appreciate the extra attachments, to inspire me to improve my sewing skills. Update: 09/27/2022: I have found out about quilting. My obsession has gone further and I fear no one can stop me now. I feel secure knowing my Brother can take me through batting and fabric and bring me out on the other side victorious! Though I do wish for a quilting machine, I will continue using this one as it hasn’t let me down yet. The needles have remained strong, the bobbin is chugging along, and the machine itself…we’ll what can I say? It’s a workhorse. A few good praises and any project I throw at it will be completed without so much as a worry to cross my brain. Still highly recommen

Just the machine I needed to re-enter my hobby of apparel sewing. Easy to use and understand. Enough stitch variety without being overwhelmed by bells I won't use. Smooth operation. Lightweight enough that if I want to take it on a relaxing vacation of doing not-much, I can do that.

Just like it was promised Brother XM2701 packed from factory came quickly. My mother in law loves this sewing machine. Was looking for one to replace her old model. We needed something that wasn’t too complicated, but also got the job done for her sewing projects. She has fallen in love with this machine. It’s simple to use and I can tell it will last a long time. Highly recommended!
