    Takes too long to boil

    I'm not at all impressed with this burner for its price. It takes forever to bring a pot of water to a boil, not at all practical for canning use. Unfortunately I'm outside of the return window, so I'm stuck with it.

    It soon will be canning season, and with just purchasing, a new stove, I did not want to use the stove top, with the heavy, canner on top. this unit works just great for me...!

    Keep your money

    Total trash. Stopped working altogether after one and a half uses. Not eligible for return, exchange, or refund so I'm just SOL. I'd give this 100 one-star reviews if I could.

    infinite control is misleading *** update

    i'm using this infinite repeat timer to get a good low-simmer point; 13 seconds on, 1 min 45 sec offTechbee Digital Infinite Repeat Cycle Intermittent Timerhttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B086DN9QT3/the hotplate doesn't control the amount of current flowing to the element, it regulates by turning the heat fully on then off every few minutesthe cast iron top adds some thermal mass which evens things out to some extent, but getting an even simmer is impossible, it alternates between low boil then no bubbles at alli checked the water temperature for the 'simmer' approximation and it was around

    Heats up better than expected

    The eye on my stove doesn’t sit level because of all the years canning.I started researching for a hot plate to use this year and let me say, I am VERY impressed with this one! All the reviews were good with the exception of it taking longer to get hot enough for pressure to get up. Well, it didn’t take any longer with this than on my stove— but I put hot water in canner to speed it up instead of cold. Only took 10 min to get hot enough to do second round. It also doesn’t heat up my kitchen as bad!!
