CyberPower ST425 Standby UPS Battery Backup and Surge Protector

For an hour or so of standby, this will help you. Solidly built. But the inverter in it is not very efficient. We have a small project circuit drawing only tiny 2W. It didn't make it to 4 hour mark, so most of the battery was used by the inverter of the UPS.

Wanted this to keep my router and modem on during power outages and worked great! My TV however still shut off, but I think it's due to it being cheap and doesn't have a good power supply. However my main concern was my internet staying on. I've seen some reviews about people using this for a PC and it not working. Well, this shouldn't be used for that, you need a more powerful UPS. This item is great for smaller things such as a router or a modem, maybe a small fan. I definitely recommend this!

I bought this UPS to protect and power a few small devices that the house sorta depends on, my router, a phone signal amplifier and a Raspberry PI that runs some home automation software. The power load is not high, it doesn't have to run for long before the house generator starts up, and I needed it to be small so it is not obvious where it is located so this fits the situation and need. purchased this to keep my wifi router from going out during brownouts. it's summertime and power always seems to take hits. So I installed this device so my router would not reboot every time there is a power blip and the lights flicker. Happy to report , it happened yesterday and it took the hit perfectly... clock on the microwave had to be reset, but we never lost internet and i was able to continue to work. I WFH. easy to setup, small enough to conceal behind the tv, enough outlets for the router and switch and wifi box.. perfectly happy with purchase!

Had this a few months now and no issue. It's small and compact so it saves on space. The design is pretty nifty as well. It's not at all heavy so if you pay for shipment by lbs you won't be breaking the bank. It delivers consistent power to the ports, just don't overload it. I have my desktop and modem plugged into it so whenever the power goes I still have a few minutes to save and shutdown my work. This is essential since I'm a software developer who works from home.

Don't buy this UPS. Yes it works perfectly and is designed for small jobs the problem is the price and replacement batteries. I spoke to Cyberpower and chatted with May ( AI ? ) who said this was not designed for a replacement battery. It takes a 4 " Leoch CPS 3.6-12 battery which has limited availability. This is not available on Amazon or Ebay not available on many sites and where it is available it will cost at least $45 with shipping. Works just like stated, and works perfectly!! Glad I got it. I plugged it into an isolation transformer, then plugged my tower, monitor, and printer into the UPS. Works great. Computer seems to be working better!

I normally purchase APC products but I gave CyberPower a shot. I’ve been using this UPS in my home office to keep the cable company’s modem protected from the frequent power blips we experience. With this UPS powering it we no longer have to wait 5 minutes till the modem reboots completely. We have had it running for over 9 months now and it works wonderfully. It does the job just as well as the more expensive APC brand. I’m very satisfied with this CyberPower UPS. Also it’s very easy to use. Up and running out of the box in minutes.
