It's value comes from size, weight, battery life, aesthetics. Justify the cost on those grounds.
I haven't given it a good test, but I can say that it is really a nice unit in that it is light and much more compact than older style lead acid units like Cyber Power and APC (both of which are excellent.) It claims ten year battery life and if so that will be an improvement as well. If size, weight, and convenience are of value to you, then this unit is worth the extra cost. If the battery life is as a good as spec, it is worth the cost. If you are just putting it in a server closet, then I don't know If I could justify the cost or not. Battery life would be the conditional there. Very nice

Summary: Minus one star because it does not turn off the way the instructions say (more difficult/annoying). Minus one start because it often gets an error code and has to be unpluged/replugged at start-up. Minus one star because of the unresponsive / non-existent customer support.
