The duration these last has continually gotten shorter over the years, while the price has continued to increase.I had not heard of GoldeMate but the reviews were good and wanted to stop giving my money to companies that seemed to use modern technology to make their UPS fail sooner instead of last longer.This UPS surprised me when it showed, both its size and quality. Seems to work well, it is nice and quiet. It is a bit bigger profile than others I've used, but it looks very good quality. I ordered three of them because I was unhappy with the other brand I've been buying on Amazon for the last couple of years.-Cyber power. The cyber power batteries don't seem to last more than a year and a half to two years at the most and this new unit uses lithium batteries, so I have high expectations for a four- to five-year lifespan.

Wow !!! This is the 4th item that I have purchased in the GOLDENMATE UPS line. It completely and totally works as expected. I always test when I get them to make sure they perform the UPS function well before putting them into service including running them down to see what the run time is for my application. Everything worked as expected and according to the manufacturer specs. Disappointing. I decided to make the switch over from a traditional UPS over to this after my 5 year old UPS died. I can look past the product being very large, but what I can't accept is for the product to fail on the very first time I needed it to work. The UPS did stay on when I lost power briefly, but it failed to keep any of the connected appliances powered on. The draw being pulled was under 150w load so I don't think that is the issue. Other users have stated that this UPS has a fault where the outlet receptacles are wired backwards. I tested mine and it was normal. That's good! After getting frustrated by years of frequently replacing sealed lead acid (SLA) batteries in my CyberPower and APC uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), I finally decided to move up to a lithium battery powered solution. I have had this unit, as well as another smaller GoldenMate unit (For Modem, Router, Switch and VoIP) for about 5 months now. They have both worked flawlessly through multiple power outages, which are common where I am. It is a very solid unit, and feels well built. The display is easy to read and informative as well. My only gripe is you can’t permanently mute the beep, so it doesn’t go off incessantly when power goes off and you are asleep. What can I say. It works as a battery backup and so far hasn’t failed me. It is quite large and heavy, but should keep my server and other gear running a good while. Only complaint is my UnRAID server can’t quite get all the deets from this. I do wish it used the same protocols as APC, but at least it can read battery level so that’s what I have the server set to.
