This converter makes my DVD player functional on my new TV. While I have all kinds of converters, switches, and connections to keep my equipment going with newer TV's, this converter works wonderfully and has an on/off switch. I'm very happy with it. Picture quality is good and no black shadows moving across the screen like I got with the first brand of converter I tried.
The converter makes my computer spit out that mess, and it isn't static, if you move the mouse you can see the ghost of it split across dimensions moving around on the tv screen. Is the HDMI cable they sent it with bad? Or is the converter itself bad? I can't tell you just yet.
This HDMI to Component converter has exceeded all my expectations. It works great with my Amazon Fire TV stick. Highly recommended.
This converter didn't work for me. I have an old Sony CRT TV and was hoping to use this to stream Roku through a component input, but all I got was colored static. I'm giving it 3 stars because the piece seems well built and if I had a more modern TV capable of 1080p then I believe this would have worked, but I suspect my TV was unable to process the signal and that's why I got colored static. Next I tried a composite converter and that was AWFUL!! The picture at 480i was terrible. Anyways that's another review:)
Works as designed.
I bought this because all my hdmi ports were damaged/ pushed in.. so oppose to tossing the TV I said let me try this & make it my man cave/ game tv. Good decision.I recommend it.
Got this product bc my hdmi ports went bad on my tv and this made it any easy fix to still use my tv. Picture is great and tv always turns on with no problem. A lot of times I have to go turn the little converter box off then back on in order for my sound to come on. Extremely annoying.
This thing lasted about 3 months and then stopped working. Wouldn’t recommend it.
