I have the Avermedia Live Gamer HD 2 - GC570. I got this adapter so I can use it with my capture card so I can stream my PS3. It works perfectly. At first you may need to change your resolution, but it should all work.Cons -I do notice a slight him every now and then while using it. I do hear it regardless of switching HDMI cables.Pros -Does slightly get warm to the touch, but really nothing to get worried about.Just connect your cables and your good to goQuality up to 1080p is great.

I had to get a new TV, and the one I got has no component (red, green blue +audio) input. I had a DVD player and a DVD recorder through a switch box hooked onto the old TV. I tried a different 2 component in to 1 HDMI out (to TV) switch, but the DVD player on either input had a black bar moving across it and the switch box turned on every time the TV did. It only showed in the square picture box size which was weird and any writing was all distorted. This item performed as expected. Some 3x4 formatted videos are stretched to conform with the 9x16 HDMI standard rather than being subframed. This is not selectable. This item is powered from a USB port which is a 'plus' if your TV has one. Even more so if your TV powers-down the USB when it is turned off. You will need to purchase a 5 volt power supply if your TV has no USB port. The item does have a power switch which will shut off power to the unit if desired.

We bought a new 4K Smart TV with HDMI ports, it did not have the RCA ports for my 30 year old DVD/CD surround sound system. I looked on line and ordered a YPBPR to HDMI from another company and it did not work, I returned it and they sent me another one, it didn't work either. So I decided to try a unit from another company which is this one I am reviewing. I hooked it up, which took all of ten seconds, turned on the DVD player and it worked beautifully. This is really upsetting. I have a Roku stick that I expected to be able to use via this device. They advertise it being able to support this. They show images of Apple TVs, PS4s and other source devices that can be used vía this device. It turns out that this device only supports sources that have component connections that need to be connected to a monitor or tv that only has HDMI inputs. What PS4 or Apple TV have you ever seen with component connections??? As you can see from the photo of one of the pages from the instructions, they make it clear that it only works as I described previously

The device appears well built and not cheap.I bought it specifically to connect my old component Wii console to my new 4k samsung smart TV (Q series).Unfortunately, even with the power supply, the device couldn't produce a strong enough signal to be consistently detected.I also tried it on some older 1080p led tv's, but same result.This device may work on other component devices, but unfortunately not the Wii.I have returned the device

I have another analog to HDMI scaler specifically for video game consoles (the RetroTINK 2X Pro). I love it, however the version I have can't process 480p (just 480i and below). I bought this for another piece of equipment but just for fun hooked up my PS2 and all I can say is WOW. Very high image quality, very low lag, and for games on the PS2 that can force 480p or higher output this works wonders at a great price. Just make sure whatever you are using is outputting via component (red/blue/green video cables) and you're golden!

Purchased this converter so that I could use my older DVD player with my new Roku TV. Works exactly as advertised. Easy to connect with quality picture and sound. Highly recommend.
