Great product, easy to install, delivery as promised. Used on old TV and the "S-video" input provided excellent picture but HDMI input is for wide screen so picture is slightly vertically exaggerated. TV too old to reset settings and input is streaming to four other HDTV so can't adjust settings on that part either. fyi only and not due to this product which is excellent.

As opposed to the usb c to vga adapters all over the market, this actually works because my 2005 projector gets all hung up on the new encoding and can't hold a picture from the new vga adapters if its not coming directly from a laptop. Forget trying to use a cell phone for video!So I use the s video and component cable combo this unit has, for a USB c to hdmi to s video/component cable translation, and it works flawlessly!Now I can play videos off my galaxy phone in the living room on my ancient but still really effective projector.Thank you for a product that works!Only complaint is there is

The product consists of a single box with svideo plug and 3 RCA plug. The unit has a HDMI port for input and a micro-usb for power. There is a short usb cable to connect the box to the input and a longer usb cable and a power adapter. The unit has a single switch that toggles between NTSC and PAL. I regretfully had to return this unit, not because anything was wrong with it (it was exactly what I was looking for.)When I had my old TiVo Series 2, there were RCA outputs on the back of the unit which enabled me to record shows and segments to my DVD recorder.However, with my new TiVo Edge, there is only the HDMI output. I bought this to connect my TVs audio earc/arc HDMI port to my older Sony stereo receiver (with RCA connections). Unfortunately, the tv is not compatible with this device. I have verified that it does work when connected to my Sony Blu-ray player, which is a bit older as well. If you know what does work, please post and let us know.

I purchased this converter to connect the newer streaming services to my old analog (CRT) TV. The old TV had no HDMI port, but only S-video, RCA, and coaxial ports. The converter worked perfectly to resolve the problem, however after just over 14 months, the device quit working. Now The tv video only flashes randomly. And, yes, the television is otherwise still working properly. It is very disappointing to have the item fail so soon! Consequently, I can no longer recommend this product.

Update: changing my review to 5 stars after fiddling with some other variables and I was able to discern a difference between the two outputs. This is an excellent and cost-effective method for getting an analog signal onto a CRT from a digital (hdmi) source. On top of that there is no latency, lag, or frame skipping occurring.
