We bought two of these for our kids to use for homework, and we would absolutely buy them again.You really can’t beat the price point for what you get. What mattered most to us was the parental controls, and these have been excellent. We receive a daily email showing what our kids have searched, and we can easily lock down content, which was very important to us.They’re also super easy for kids to use and navigate, even if they’re just learning how to use a laptop. For the price, this laptop gets a 5 star rating. Well, more like 4.5 but I couldn't give it that. It's a good sized laptop with a clear screen. It's pretty darn fast and it looks pretty sharp. Speakers are decent but not mind-blowing and for what it's worth, it has a camera, which is, again, passable, not mind-blowing. The keyboard on the one I got is more of a darker grey (it's advertised as ash grey, which I believe is a lighter color) but I actually like the darker keyboard better. This Chromebook 14 Laptop was perfect in size and speed. Fast Setup. My only issue is that the charger malfunctioned after 7 months and is not covered under the warranty so I have to order a replacement.

I bought it so my son could take classes at home, and it lives up to its promises—good price.

UPDATED AND DOWN RATED AFTER A MONTH 4 to oneOnly had it a day but have to remark it was very easy even for a 77 year old who is not the most expert technology guy around.It looksjust like my old screen with the same features. This Chromebook approach to a PC is amazing to me. Only slight down side is the screen clarity/sharpness which is less sharp than my last HP Chromebook. Not sure how to determine sharpness from the technical info when shopping but maybe this is alowerendof the HP line.Plus the Keyboard letters and numbers medium gray do not standout well from the muddy gray base color. I bought this as an emergency overnight purchase when our business technology was compromised. I needed a fresh OS, that would run on a T-mobile hotspot, as soon as possible.
