This scale is marketed with a calorie counting focus but I mainly use it for weighing food. I decided to leave it as a scale and not connect it to yet another app. The functions without app connectivity are limited to what you’d normally expect in a scale (weighing, 1 touch zeroing, switching weight types, etc). I tested this scale by comparing weights to my coffee scale that is accurate to .01g and it performed well. The large size accommodates large bowls for baking.

I had a plain kitchen scale and wanted an upgrade. This scale is a good size. You can fit just about anything you need weighed in your kitchen on it. It seems pretty well made and sturdy. Without the app though you pretty much have a plain scale. The scale itself doesn't do much, it's all about the app.I love the app. You can find just about anything you are looking for. It allows you to change units. I measured an apple and was able to either pick a size like medium, or change the unit to ounces. My wife has wanted an updated food scale for a while now. She wasn't as interested in the App and calorie counting features of this scale, but she did play around with that feature a bit and felt that it would come in handy for those who needed it. She may use it more to figure out the amount of fiber and protein certain fruits and veggies have since those nutrients have been a focus for a few in our household lately. This scale is accurate and works well as a scale. It has all the features you expect from a food scale.On the app side, it requires a log in and it pairs with the scale.It lets you record the amount of the food as you weigh it.I think its a fairly minor convenience but its still pretty convenient.
