I, as many here, did a lot of research. There isn't much out there on this blender. What I ended up doing was comparing the parts of each blender from the viatmix to Ninja to blendtec etc. that made them work better than others. I made this purchase of the Oster Pro because it’s made from glass and I trust the Oster brand. At first I thought - what the heck did I do? This is weird. This ends up being the best blender I have ever had. Instead of going on and on and on and making a lot of loud noise —it works really fast making frozen fruit smoothies. It’s really powerful and I’m very pleased. I just made hummus and it’s perfect. If you don’t want to spend the big bucks on a VitaMix, this works well.

AMAZING. The blender is very powerful, handling even harder foods with ease. The reverse function allows the the "stuck" foods to be dislodged without me sticking any utensils in there (yay safety), and prevent the vacuum pockets. Non-toxicity is huge for me, so really appreciate the glass container and no plastic parts that come into contact with food. I upgraded my workhorse 700 W Oster blender to this 1200 W workhorse. It has a nice sizable glass picture for blending which I prefer over the plastic ones. The glass is shatterproof. I've absolutely fallen in love with this blender and use it frequently to make smoothies for breakfast.
