REOLINK Duo 3 PoE Dual-Lens PoE Security Camera with 180° Panoramic View

A couple years ago, I purchased the Reolink DVR with 4 cameras, and had them mounted on the 4 corners of my home. 2 in the front yard facing each other so I can see the whole area, and 2 in the back yard facing each other. I've always wanted better side yard visibility since I've had a few instances now of people crossing through my sideyard and even contruction people working for a neighbor who were in my side yard. I have to say I'm impressed with this particular Reolink camera. That's not to say I haven't had some not so desirable experiences with past Reolink cameras, but this particular model has really changed my mind about what this company really can do. The smart motion detection for people, cars and animals just flat works well. Better than some of my other cameras that cost 3x the amount I paid for this camera. I haven’t had this camera for long yet, however, it doesn’t seem like a really good camera, great quality picture, sounds, and infrared camera. Set up isn’t too bad but it does come with a short wire so you’ll need a longer cable if you plan on going further than 3 feet. I have the Reolink hard drive and I use the app to view the feed, and everything seems good so far.

This is a great, high definition camera sporting a 180 degree field of view with minimal distortion. It uses the same mounting bracket as the Duo 2 and can be dropped into an existing setup easily, **BUT** vertically, the FOV is not as tall as the Duo 2. For my application, I am still able to see everything I need to, but this is an important difference to note. It's maybe 5 fewer degrees vertically. I am beyond disappointed in this camera. First, it is NOT a 16mp camera. It is two 8mp cameras side by side and the worst part is, the image quality if a LOT worse than my single 8mp cameras. It has lot of issues that bug me. First thing is, a single strand of spider web in front of this camera will have the motion detector lights going off every couple of minutes, all night long. Even with the sensitivity turned way down. Second, the microphone is absolutely TERRIBLE. It picks up and amplifies the slightest breeze and makesit sound like you are constantly filming inside a tornado. Just awful.

I bought this to replace a 10 year old camera. I think the other camera was either 720p or perhaps 1080p. It worked - but had a limited field of view and night vision on it was just ok. People often could evade being detected if they walked up a certain part of my yard. The camera could not see it.The Duo 3 far exceeded my expectations. It easily sees 300% more of my yard than the old camera. Plus, the resolution is way better.
