REOLINK RLC-1212A 12MP Bullet Outdoor PoE Camera for Home Security

I replaced an 833A Reolink with this because of the higher resolution and I did not need the zoom feature of the 833a camera. The picture is excellent and has a wider FOV so I am pleased with that. I like that the night IRD reaches out further so I am getting shots at further distance of passing critters that the 833A would not see. It was very easy to add to my NVR system even though the camera is connected to a small smart switch in a shed, which is then connected back to the main switch for the NVR. I'm really enjoying the camera. It really does well in low light situations, well enough to show stars at night without having to turn on IR illumination (IR illumination attracts flying insects which get in the image).Two things to note: there is quite a bit of barrel distortion in the image and the camera date/time setting for start/end of daylight savings time requires a manual entry of the change dates.

We have about 15 Reolink cams, and this one is my favorite. The resolution is awesome! Our other Reolink cameras have lasted about 10 years so far (except for one that fails in cold weather), so we expect this one will last as well. Will update if any changes.

So far these seem great. Picture quality is fantastic. My only complaint is they might be too sensitive on motion detection. Getting flooded with detection alerts. Working through some of the detection options though and seems like can get it to a manageable level.

If you are looking for a high resolution camera then look no further. Set up is easy and straight forward. Was plugged in and setup in minutes. Took longer to run the eithernet cable so it don't stand out than to get the camera up and running. I have 8 other reolink cameras so I have full coverage now as while on vacation someone was trying to get to a spot without a camera to break in my home. The world is changing and there have been alot of people that crossed the boarder illegally and now you have to keep your family safe.

I bought 20+ reolink cameras and dvr. After a year 6 cameras fogged up and cannot dry out (BAD SEALS), 8/8 wifi cameras failed. Whatever they say connecting these disasters to a home wifi network / app / dvr is a complete nightmare. Just do not work or maintain connectivity. App and Dvr wont connect to same set of cameras. Any wifi fail (including change of password or wifi router (same ssid) or ssid, means you have to physically uninstall cameras and resynch physically with dvr and separately with app (they are DIFFERENT).
