I had bought into the whole Blink infrastructure, yea I know. Which was comically bad. The doorbell didn't work as a doorbell after one of their many updates, which is kinda an inexcusable fail. The only person that could hear it "ring" was the person that pushed the button. Recorded video and detected motion OK, but was the worst of the Blink products at that. When shopping for a doorcam, I didn't want to get stuck with a subscription to use my purchase. That eliminated most of the more major brands. So it was down to Reolink and a well-known networking "prosumer" brand who also sells surveillance gear but was very over-priced. The quality of Reolink is amazing and it is very reasonably priced. Good camera doorbell, integrates well with Reolink's NVR system which is a really nice plus. The ethernet port is also in a reasonably good position to make the connection easy coming out of the wall.The one thing that knocks it down from 5 stars is the mounting solution.- The tiny screws that secure the metal mounting plate to the angled plastic bracket are a very odd sizing phillips head that I could not find a good fit for, they should have just included a cheap screwdriver for those or make it more standard.- The metal mounting plate that the camera itself attaches to is very finicky with

Purchased this doorbell to replace the existing smart doorbell.It does require a CAT6 cable to be installed. Just starting with Reolink and receiving an open box from the manufacture makes me question everything.Finally got a long weekend and have been wanting to go POE for a while. 'Taking a chance on moving over to the Reolink ecosystem, starting with the TrackME PO and this doorbell. They came together in a larger order with cables and other bits. Started with the TrackMe, testing, setup, cable runs, etc. (No real feedback until I get everything routed.) This camera/doorbell is the best! Wasn’t bad to set up. This doorbell actually lets me know when someone is coming up the sidewalk. The notifications are 10/10. You can adjust the sensitivity levels to accommodate to your needs. When I open the app it takes maybe 5 seconds to show me the live stream. Image is clear. We did have to purchase a POE which wasn’t expensive at all to be able to run this through the Ethernet cable. Wish I bought this sooner. Definitely worth the money.

This is the POE version, not wifi. Some basics- for poe, you need to wire the doorbell using Cat 6 cable to an nvr or injector. If you don't know what that is, hire someone to do the wiring and figure out which nvr to buy. If you want home security with nvr capabilities, i.e. many cameras, secure recording to a hard disk, etc. then become familiar with nvr and wired cameras. POE cameras simply mean one Cat 6 cable is used to both power the camera and send its signals to the NVR.
